Captain Hayes is a 31-year veteran of the Stamford Fire Department. He is currently assigned to the East Side Fire Station #4 on Shippan Avenue. In addition to his regular Fire Officer duties, he is a Public Relations Officer, the developer of the StamfordFire.com website and serves on the Departments' IT Team. He is also an avid fan of Fire Department history.

  • 17-year-old Westhill High School Senior Katelyn Guzman completed her spring internship with the Stamford Fire Department last week. Katelyn spent the past 3 weeks riding along at Fire Headquarters and became familiar with the many types of duties and services that Stamford firefighters provide.   • Stamford Fire Department Master Mechanic Victor Manzella will retire this Friday (5/31) after serving the Department for the past 17 years. Prior to joining our Mechanical Division, Vic worked as a Mechanic for City Operations for 9 years.
