Glenbrook Kitchen Fire Displaces 7 People From 2 Apartments

A Glenbrook kitchen fire that was quickly extinguished Friday night has displace 2 families. Stamford Fire Department responded at 21:30 to 470 Glenbrook Road for a reported fire. First arriving crews found and quickly contained a kitchen fire in a rear basement apartment. 1 victim from the fire apartment was transported to Stamford Hospital by Stamford EMS with symptoms from smoke inhalation. 7 occupants from 2 apartments were relocated by the American Red Cross. 26 firefighters from 4 stations responded with 4 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Rescue and 1 Deputy Chief responded to the scene. Stamford Police assisted with traffic control on Glenbrook Road. Stamford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
