Stamford, CT – At approximately 09:44 am the Stamford Fire Department Marine Unit was dispatched to assist an individual experiencing a medical emergency aboard a 90' party fishing charter boat located near Mid Sound Buoy 32A, outside Stamford Harbor.

Upon arrival, the crew of Fire Boat 236 located the vessel and made contact with the charter boat’s crew. Firefighters immediately rendered medical assistance to the individual while transferring the patient safely aboard the fire boat.

The patient received continued medical care from fire department personnel as vessel 236 made its way back to shore, where Stamford EMS crews were standing by to assume care and transport the individual to a local hospital for further treatment.

The rapid response and coordination between the Stamford Fire Department Marine Unit, dispatch, and EMS ensured prompt and effective aid was delivered under challenging maritime conditions.
