City of Stamford Fire Department to Hold 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Stamford, Connecticut (9/4/2025) – The City of Stamford Fire Department, will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 7pm in front of the Woodside Fire Station 5, located at 1620 Washington Boulevard.

The ceremony will honor the lives lost in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, as well as recognize the bravery and sacrifice of first responders who answered the call that day and in the years that followed.

The program will include remarks from city officials, a moment of silence, the presentation of colors, and the sounding of “Taps.” Members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend in remembrance and in solidarity.

Location: Woodside Fire Station 5, 1620 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT, 06902

Time: 7pm (The Stamford Police Department will close the southbound lanes of  Washington Boulevard at Bridge Street, beginning at 6:30 pm for on street parking).
