The written exam for Firefighter which was scheduled for April 10th has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 5th. Further information, including the Study Guide, will be sent to all applicants by early May.

Special thanks to Captain Conte for keeping a close eye on the NY State legislature and the licensing requirements for fire apparatus operators.   According to Capt. Conte, a huge ground swell of from the NY fire associations is hammering the legislature to rescind or otherwise, reinstate the fire fighter exemption from needing a CDL.  Please be patient, but remember as of right now, those affected need a CDL.  The chief is looking into assistingthose in obtaining a CDL if need be.  Stay tuned.
